The church celebrates the Feast of Jonah on February 13, 2020. with the prayer of the Divine Liturgy at 8:00 AM.
The Prophet Jonah’s endurance and prayer in the belly of the big fish became a pattern for Christian asceticism, which was realized, for instance, in the life of Basil the Great (Saint Gregory of Nazianzus)
