The Feast of the Holy Cross
September 27, 2025 – September 29, 2025
17th of Tout (September 27–28) – the commemoration of the finding of the Cross by Queen St. Helena.
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
(Hebrews 12:2)
On the Feast of the Cross, we rejoice in the life-giving Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is through the Cross that Christ conquered sin, defeated death, and granted us eternal life.
The Cross, once a symbol of shame, has become the sign of victory, love, and salvation.
As the Church chants:
“We worship Your Cross, O Lord, and we glorify Your holy Resurrection.”
The Church wishes you a blessed feast.
